The AiM Solo 2 uses a high-speed 25Hz four-constellation GPS receiver to automatically calculate lap times, sector times, vehicle speed and position on track. With an extensive built-in circuit database, the unit can automatically recognise the track and begin timing without the need for external beacons or manual start/finish setup.

AiM Solo lap timers also provide predictive lap timing, allowing riders to compare their current lap against a best lap, previous lap or selected reference lap in real time. This makes it easier to identify whether changes in riding line, braking points or corner speed are improving overall lap performance.

The integrated 100Hz 6-axis inertial platform records acceleration and rotational movement, while onboard memory and Wi-Fi connectivity allow recorded sessions to be transferred to AiM's RaceStudio 3 software for detailed post-session analysis.

For riders looking for more advanced data, the AiM Solo 2 DL adds direct connection to the motorcycle ECU using CAN, K-Line or RS232 on supported applications. This allows engine and vehicle data to be recorded alongside GPS information, creating a much more detailed picture of both rider and motorcycle performance.

Selected AiM Solo 2 DL Plug & Play motorcycle kits include model-specific wiring for direct ECU integration, making installation straightforward while providing access to detailed information such as RPM and other supported ECU channels.
