The middle weight class has more options for today's riders, now Triumph enters with the Trident, an entry level 660cc triple with nice power and torque as well as value. The new triple is packed with potential, and Yoshimura were exited to start development on this new British naked platform.
A cousin of the Triumph 675 Daytona motor, this new triple was just asking for more power. The stock exhaust is a one-piece unit which required a RACE full system.
The Yoshimura development team set out to develop the Trident with the AT2, their newest high performance silencer. The system is part of their RACE line up, which means it's made to be used on a closed course. Perfect, this bike will be a GREAT track day/race day bike!
The AT2 simply looks striking on the new Trident. We don't know how else to put it but the RACE AT2 system with the exclusive Works Edition completely transformed this triple. The new three cylinder 660cc engine screams with excitement with this exhaust system! Max HP is up 6.9% and max torque is up 1.3%. Some of the secret sauce is in the collector, where Yoshimura were able to incorporate a specially designed pre-silencer that enhances the power and adds a very unique exhaust note to the all-new British Trident.
Here at Performance Parts we are particularly proud of our input into the design of this system, a result of our close and long standing working relationship with Yoshimura R&D. Our suggestions resulted in Yoshimura R&D engineers revising the silencer positioning to give the new Trident AT2 an even more aggressive look even before the first one has shipped!
The weight savings are substantial, dropping almost half the weight of the stock system, the AT2 Works Edition full system coming in at a nice 9.1lbs. This bike on the track will be a blast now thanks to the AT2 full system. With lighter weight making this already light machine handle and with enhanced power throughout the power spectrum, Yoshimura's AT2 full system will be the bench mark for racers worldwide.
This product was designed to fit on a standard equipped motorcycle, as delivered from the factory. OE and aftermarket accessories not found on a bike as delivered from the factory may not be compatible with this product. This exhaust is designed and intended for closed course competition use only, and is labelled as such, it is neither designed or intended for use on public roads or land.
