Many modern motorcycles use an electronically controlled exhaust valve or EXUP system to manage exhaust noise and influence engine characteristics at different RPM. When fitting an aftermarket full exhaust system or removing the factory exhaust valve, simply disconnecting the servo motor can cause the ECU to detect a fault.

SmartMoto Exhaust Servo Eliminators electronically simulate the signal of the original servo motor, allowing the ECU to recognise the system as operating normally while the original servo motor, cables and associated exhaust valve components are removed.

This makes them ideal for motorcycles fitted with aftermarket exhaust systems, race exhausts or where the original exhaust servo motor or valve has failed.
