The carbon frame cover is attached directly to the frame. Thanks to the high surface quality of Ilmberger Carbon, the frame cover can withstand intensive use over a long period of time. This means that there are no unpleasant work marks on the rough cast surface of the frame either after countless long tours or during daily use of the motorcycle. In order to perfect the high-quality impression, the frame cover not only runs along the vertical frame strut, where the leg rubs, but also extends far upwards, where it disappears under the tight side cover. It is therefore difficult to see from the outside where the frame cover begins and where it ends.

Ilmberger carbon parts are made exclusively in the latest, state-of-the-art manufacturing process out of carbon fibre prepreg weave in the autoclave. This procedure is also used to produce all of the high performance parts for the Moto GP and Formula 1 racing vehicles.

As with all Ilmberger carbon parts, it features a clear TUV certified coating, this not only improves the appearance, but also protects the carbon fibre from scratching and has a unique UV resistance (with the exception of Racing parts).
